Dr. Jann Holwick has performed over 400 weight reduction surgeries during the last eight years at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Virginia. Previously, she completed over 600 such surgeries in Pasadena, California.

The operation currently performed for most patients is the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. A short limb or long limb bypass can be performed in an open or laparoscopic procedure, for those patients who qualify for the minimally invasive surgery. Many medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea are greatly improved with weight loss. Dr. Holwick also performs laparoscopic gallbladder removal, nissen anti-reflux procedures and colon surgery.
